Jewish Teen Education Network
STRENGTHENING THE JEWISH EXPERIENCE
Through JTEN, we offer grants to synagogues and community agencies for Jewish educational programming. We also sponsor Communitywide Teen Education Days, provide resources and networking opportunities for Jewish educators, and administer grants for organized teen Israel trips through the Ronald Colman Israel Travel Scholarship Fund.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Awarded annually, JTEN grants are intended to support ongoing academic Jewish educational programming for teens in middle school and high school. Applications are accepted during the summer for programs planned for the upcoming academic year.
The engine that keeps JTEN running is our JTEN Educators Committee, composed of educators from six Central Florida synagogues. The JTEN Educators are instrumental in planning Communitywide Teen Education Days and professional development opportunities for fellow educators.
The Ronald Colman Israel Scholarship Fund was made possible by a generous endowment by the Colman family to encourage participation in educational experiences in Israel. Open to all Jewish teens in 9th to 12th grades, Colman Scholarship applications are accepted from January to March.
