It might be getting cooler, but try spending some time outside. A simple walk around your neighborhood or reading a book on the patio can help warm your mind, body, and spirit.

When More Help is Needed
The Activities of Daily Living, or ADLs, include:
- Getting into and out of bed;
- Ability to use restroom safely and maintain continence;
- Bathing and grooming;
- Dressing and undressing;
- Meal preparation and eating
When you or someone in your life can no longer perform one of these tasks independently, more help is needed. You may want to contact a home health agency, or it may be time to consider assisted living.
Central Florida is home to hundreds of companion care agencies, but it can be hard finding the right agency for you or your loved one. Many use a registry—meaning their certified nursing assistants and home health aids work for multiple companies—while others hire their own staff. Some agencies have both skilled and unskilled healthcare employees, allowing them to offer a wide range of services such as wound care, physical therapy, and more.
Selecting the best agency for your needs is a challenge. Jewish Pavilion is here to help. Please call our Orlando Senior Help Desk at (407) 678-9363 whenever assistance is needed.
